Gameplay: Originally I was used to using a controller from GEB, but since I lent out my PC controller I had to learn how to use keyboard and mouse. The voice acting was also great and I loved the casting. Sometimes you’ll get a sorrowful orchestra arrangement and in fight scenes it might turn into some techno mix. It really lifts the world setting and helps set the moon in different cutscenes. Sound: I absolutely loved the orchestrations and mixing of the songs. Oh, and there was also a ton of customization options to choose from! I love being able to have a wide range of options to choose from because it really lets me create my own persona in the world. I’ll warn you now that the game is pretty particle heavy, so if your computer isn’t fast you should probably tone the quality settings down. The main focus are the monsters and attack animations, so I overlooked some rough textures in certain places. My game ran pretty smoothly on max settings and the maps were detailed.

Especially when considering the PSP equivalent (I forgot to mention that GERB also includes a remaster of GEB). Story: As stated earlier, I think this game shines in both plot and longevity. This game was such an emotional trip from start to finish and I implore you to try it if you love games with character driven storylines.

However, I think it’s true value is in other areas that I just can’t ignore. GE2RG doesn’t really stand out too much in terms of world setting, if i’m being perfectly candid.
